Born in 1986, in Rasht, Iran, Parastou Haghi is a painter, illustrator and member of the Association of Illustrators of Québec and Iran. She received her Masters of Arts degree in Visuals Arts and Medias from “Université du Québec à Montréal” in Canada. She presently works and lives as an illustrator in Iran and is currently member of faculty of arts at university of Guilan (Iran) . She was chosen as the runner up at the 16th Biannual Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations in 2008 in Japan and her work was selected for the International competition of graphic design at Venice (Italy) in 2010. These prizes were the beginning of her international career as a children’s book illustrator. Her works of illustrations have appeared in numerous books and magazines in Iran, France, Belgium,Maroc,Canada and Japan .She has illustrated about 10 children's books for international publisher.
