This illustration is inspired by the Eastern Ladies Hockey League and four early stars of the game: Eva Ault, Albertine Lapensée, Edith Anderson, and Agnès Vautier. At a time when women couldn’t vote or compete in the Olympics, these athletes were already becoming stars on the ice.
